Doing My Part
We are all uniquely designed by God. Some of us are hard-wired to crave quiet and solitude, while others seem to thrive in the constant company of others. Yet, no matter where we fall on that spectrum, there is a deep longing in every human heart to connect—to share, to love, and to be loved.
That desire is not accidental; it is the fingerprint of our Creator. From the very beginning, God declared, “It is not good for man to be alone.” (Genesis 2:18). Humanity was never meant to live in isolation. Adam was formed to walk in relationship with God, and Eve was created so that Adam would know companionship and partnership. The story of creation itself testifies to God’s design for togetherness.
We see this truth played out all around us. In every major city, people form communities around shared stories, cultures, and experiences. There is something within us that draws us to others who understand us, who share in our journey.
But nowhere is this more beautifully fulfilled than in the Church. As the family of God, we are called to bear one another’s burdens and to rejoice in one another’s victories. We are the body of Christ—connected, interdependent, and made strong together in Him. In the Church, we discover encouragement in trials, support in seasons of need, and opportunities to use the gifts God has entrusted to us.
You are not here by accident. God has given you a unique place, a unique role, and a unique purpose in His body. Your part matters. Your contribution is needed. When you live out your calling in community, not only do you find your purpose—you also find joy and passion in the life God designed for you.
Live your calling well. Live in community.
With Gratitude, Pastor Jesse
