A Satisfied Soul

Psalm 103:5
“…Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”

Just because something tastes good doesn’t mean it is good for you. The same is true for our souls.

Like children, we are easily drawn to what sparkles and delights the senses. We feast on the abundance this world offers — possessions, pleasures, and distractions. We fill our hearts with things that were never meant to satisfy the spirit. And yet, after all the indulgence, we are left feeling empty, sluggish, and weary.

But when we turn to the Lord, everything changes. His Word nourishes. His presence fills. His Spirit refreshes. As we learn to feed on His goodness, our strength returns, our joy is restored, and our hearts are made new.

Only God can truly satisfy the deep hunger within us. When He fills us, we rise above the weight of this world, our youth renewed like the eagle — soaring high, strong, and free.
